Tarobogu Shrine, also known as Aga Shrine, is an ancient mountaintop shrine with a history said to stretch back over 1,300 years. It’s located on Mount Oiwa, reached by a long stairway. The shrine is dedicated to a guardian deity of protection and victory, so warriors once prayed here before battle. The grounds of the shrine offer very impressive views of the landscape below.
