Momotaro Shrine
桃太郎神社

Momotaro Shrine is a shrine dedicated to the legend of Momotaro, the “Peach Boy” hero of Japanese folklore. Instead of the usual stone guardians, you’re greeted by colorful statues of Momotaro, his animal companions, and even the ogres he defeats. The grounds feel more like a folk-story theme park than a traditional shrine, and there are numerous playful sculptures scattered along the path. It’s a fun stop if you enjoy folklore or want to see a very local, imaginative take on a classic Japanese tale.
