Kano Shrine
叶神社 (東)

Shrine

Yokosuka, Kanagawa

Kano Shrine (East) in is a small cliffside shrine founded in 1644, overlooking Uraga Bay. It forms a unique pair with West Kano Shrine across the water, and visiting both is believed to bring good fortune. In the late Edo period, naval leader Katsu Kaishu is said to have done purification rites here before embarking on a major voyage.

The shrine is now known as a quiet power spot, especially for relationships, thanks to its charm ritual shared between the two shrines.
